Video blog! Invasive variable watermilfoil

- My name is Ruthie Hawley and I am interning at the Gulf of Maine Research Institute this summer and working closely with the Vital Signs program and community. I hail originally from Poulsbo, WA, outside of Seattle, but go to school at Colby College. One of the projects I have taken on this summer is creating an Invasive Species Video Blog that is highlighting important invasive species that are affecting communities across the state of Maine....
Here's the link to the first video which focuses on variable watermilfoil, an invasive freshwater aquatic plant.
Many thanks to the individuals that contributed to getting this blog off to a roaring start! We plan to have a new video each week so stay tuned throughout summer!
Check out my recent observation of variable watermilfoil at the Songo Locks in Naples.
Ta ta for now,
