Field Notes Sketch

Today I am happy because we are outside and out of the classroom. I am cold as well. I see a road near the pond, with trucks driving by. I hear those multiple cars and trucks driving by on the street next to the location of the pond. I see a plethora of lily pads in the pond accompanied by a fallen tree inside the pond. The water is a dark, brown color with tall plants growing along the edge of the pond. There was a white tree on the edge of the pond with its leaves that had fallen into the pond. Finally, I noticed that there wasn't any real smell to the pond., but it did have many rocks on the bottom. I was surprised to see so many lily pads on the surface of the pond. I was also surprised that I didn't see more life inside of the pond. I was expecting to see more garbage as well. While taking notes it was cold outside and it wasn't fun to write when I couldn't feel my hands.

Supporting evidence
Photo of my evidence.

We did not find a crayfish because our cage was empty besides a few tadpoles.

Photo of my evidence.

We know these are not crayfish because the tadpoles do not have antenae.

Love it!

You've done a great job documenting your data and with the description. Great vocab too.

Wicked empty

Best crayfish-not-found evidence photo I've seen yet! Love your artistic approach to this science business.
