Field Notes
Our surveyed sight bordered a dam between Great Pond and Long Pond in Belgrade Maine. The area was a developed park, with a mixture of wild native plant species and landscape plants. The ground was fitted with erosion control bark. The upkeep of plants was evident. I was surprised I didn't find knotweed because it is associated with human development. We thought that the water fall would have brought the seed/plant to the site.
