Field Notes Sketch

I am happy because I got to go to Milliken mills pond with my science class. We were trying to identify the native plant little floating heart. We did not find any milfoil. That is good because the pond is healthy.I can see down to the bottom because the water is so clear.I could hear nature sounds. there were lots of trees there. In the water their was some branches. I am surprised that I did not find any of the Little Floating Heart because there was a lot of spadderduck. I am also surprised that when we threw the weed weasle intno the water, When we pulled it out it brought nothing back. some of the questions that I ran into is that there was no fish swimming where we were.

Supporting evidence
Photo of my evidence.

I know that I did not find the little floating heart because the type of plant we found had larger lilly pads. The lenght across is a lot longer than the lilly pad of The Little Floating Heart.

Photo of my evidence.

The flowers were yellow instead of white.

Photo of my evidence.

The stems were a lot thicker and longer then the stems on the Little Floating Heart.
