Field Notes
I am happy because we are out in the cool air observing nature. I see pine trees and other plants, I hear nothing, and I smell the pine trees. I am surprised by what I found because the plant that we are studying could only be found on the edge of the forest. Some of the questions and problems we have are, 1. Some of the people in our group were not participating, 2. Other groups were coming into our quadrat, and 3. Some of the pictures are blurry.
We thought we might have the multiflora rose because on the plant we found the leaves are similar to the multiflora rose and the plant that we found has thorns.

Haven't been on here for a long time
This is still awesome you guys! haha well I hope you have a great summer and a happy new years. Great job spider monkeys! A-mazing :)
Whorled leaves
I see that you have ruled out rosa multiflora because the plant that you have found has a dissimilar leaf arrangement and leaf type. If you were interested in identifying the plant that you were investigating the whorled leaf arrangement shown in your first evidence photo would be a good starting point. Was there anything else about the plant that stood out to you as important (berries, flowers)?
It is good news that this invasive is not living in your school yard. Can you think of any reasons why it is important to look for invasive plants? Do you think that humans can contribute to the movement of invasives?
Your field notes are very descriptive, nice job. Sometimes our investigations do not go the way that we originally plan. I applaud you for persisting with your investigation despite distractions.
invasives
There were no berries or flowers on our plant. I think it is important to look for invasive species so that scientists can see how far and fast invasive species are spreading. Humans can definitely contribute to the movement of invasive species by finding out if there is invasive species in their area and helping by trying to slow them down.
Your pictures are cool and
