Field Notes
Our study site was right by the edge of the water so it was very wet and almost completely covered with seaweed. The air was salty and the seaweed was slippery. There were a lot of interesting species in our quadrat after we dug up the seaweed and moved it out of the way, but it was hard to get pictures of some animals because they would run away.
Supporting Evidence
Photo of my evidence.
Our species had branches that divided into two over and over and over again which is what the rockweed does so it supports that we found our species.

Our species was also an olive-green/brownish color. This supports that we found the right species because it is a characteristic of rockweed. It was also very thin and flat like rockweed should be. The species we found also has a midrb in the center of the branches, a thick centreal stem-like feature running from bottom to end.

Lastly, our species had pairs of vesicles along the branches and that is a characteristic of the rockweed so it supports that we found the right species

Comments

Hello 000033,

You have provided some great photographs! I have been looking closely at all of your evidence, and I have noticed that you have not included whether or not there were air bladders present or absent on your samples. Do you have any additional photos that show air bladders, or were there none?

Keep up the good work!
