Field Notes
We were riding on the four wheeler down the Yin trail which has dense tree coverage and is quite dark, not expecting to find any honeysuckle. over to the right of the trail there was a dead tree that has been over run by a large, gnarly patch of honey suckle - we are guessing that the dead tree is what allowed for the extra sunlight to nourish this invasive plant.

Supporting Evidence
Photo of my evidence.
We think we found a very large honeysuckle plant because the leaves look just like the ones on the species identification card.
Photo of my evidence.
The berries on the species are in pairs and are redish orange.

We feel this is definitely a Morrow's Honeysuckle because it is a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with branches that are spread out wide from the stem.

Comments

That's a really nice sketch with the berries in just the right place!

Can you confirm that this one had a hollow stem like the other observations you've published recently?

Love what you are up to with your trail work.
